Zughafen Music & Event GmbH | Events & Tickets

The Zughafen Cultural Station in Erfurt is much more than a single hall: it is a creative location, event venue, cultural mile, and conference room all in one. For over 20 years, the old freight station has developed into a place where concerts, markets, corporate parties, seminars, private celebrations, and club nights coexist. Those searching for Zughafen Music & Event GmbH, Zughafen backstage, or zughafen.de will find a location with real industrial charm, clear structure, and a very unique character. Particularly exciting is the combination of a central location in Erfurt and a secluded atmosphere at the end of the historic cobblestone street Zum Güterbahnhof. This creates a place that, while situated in the urban fabric, still feels like its own little world. It is exactly this mix that makes Zughafen interesting for guests, organizers, and promoters: there are large and small rooms, outdoor spaces, infrastructure, catering, technology, and an environment suitable not only for one-time events but also for recurring formats. Events, Tickets, and Current Program at Zughafen Erfurt

The search interest surrounding zughafen music & event gmbh, tickets, and events in Erfurt shows one thing above all: people want to know what is happening there and how they can get tickets. Therefore, the official website not only presents the event spaces but also displays ongoing and upcoming events with ticket links. Zughafen clearly sees itself as a vibrant cultural and event platform, not as a static hall waiting for rentals. The current program ranges from concerts and club nights to markets, fairs, family formats, and special events. Currently listed on the homepage are, among others, Terraristik & Reptilienbörse, Milleniumkid Schwerelos Tour 2026, and Flanieren mit Bieren, which illustrates the broad spectrum well. Additionally, there are events in Hall 6, in the Backstage, at Stattstrand, and in other areas of the network. In practice, this means that those looking for a program should not only check a single calendar but also keep an eye on the event pages and series of the venue. Especially for users searching with terms like zughafen backstage, zug music pub, or zug music, it is important to understand that a classic music club is not at the forefront here, but a versatile cultural venue with changing formats and regularly updated ticket offers. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/))

The official rental page also makes it clear that Zughafen is open for both public events and business and private formats. Conferences, meetings, seminars, corporate parties, public concerts, markets, exhibitions, and theater performances are mentioned. This is important for SEO planning because the search intent behind words like tickets, events in Erfurt, or event location does not only target concerts but often also room rentals, planning, and service. Particularly practical is that the team is available on weekdays from 10 AM to 6 PM, and interested parties can obtain information about the rental spaces directly through the website, via contact form, or by email. The venue thus relies on a mix of cultural programming and professional rental structure. For visitors, this is an advantage because they do not have to search long: tickets and dates are visible online, the spatial possibilities are described, and the contact methods are clear. This transparency also makes Zughafen interesting for recurring formats, such as fairs, themed markets, graduation parties, community evenings, or corporate events with a live character. The venue thus not only acts as an event location but also as a production site for events that can be adapted to different target groups. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/vermietung/))

Hall 6: Capacity, Floor Plan, and Equipment

Hall 6 is the heart of Zughafen and the largest room in the facility. According to the official brochure, it offers around 700 square meters of space and is designed for up to 880 standing persons or 450 seated persons in normal condition. Additionally, it can be divided into three areas of approximately 220 square meters each with Molton curtains upon request. This flexibility is enormously valuable for event planning, as it allows a large room to serve multiple uses with just a few adjustments. The hall also features a restroom facility with over 25 toilets on the east side, as well as a bar with a kitchen and fresh water connections. On the west side, there is a small production room, and the outdoor area in front of the hall is also part of the rental space. The hall has been preserved in its original condition, giving it the typical industrial character for which Zughafen is known. At the same time, it is heated and ventilated, offers Wi-Fi, a flexible stage, and is conditionally accessible, with barrier-free access available upon request. For users searching for hall 6, floor plan, or seating, this combination of size, versatility, and real event infrastructure is particularly relevant. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Venue_Broschuere_092024.pdf))

Moreover, Hall 6 is not only intended for concerts but has been deliberately developed for a wide range of formats. The official rental page mentions an event size of about 100 to 3000 square meters, including sound, stage, lighting, gastronomy, and equipment, with Hall 6 offering the greatest flexibility. The technical equipment includes a variable indoor stage up to 10 x 6 meters, covered outdoor stages, sound systems for conferences, parties, and smaller concerts, as well as microphone systems, lighting technology, and video technology with projection area. Additionally, furnished setups with upholstered chairs, dinner and work tables, standing tables, beer benches, seating groups, couches, and other flexible elements are available. This makes Hall 6 interesting not only for live shows but also for conferences, panels, award ceremonies, presentations, corporate parties, and hybrid formats. Another advantage is the connection between event space and production logic: bar, kitchen, sanitary facilities, technology, and production room work together. This creates a venue that not only feels large but can also be organized on a large scale. Therefore, anyone looking for an event location in Erfurt with reliable capacity and clear structure will find Hall 6 to be one of the strongest options in the city. Backstage, Club, and Smaller Formats

The Backstage is the more compact, intimate side of Zughafen and thus an important part of the search queries surrounding zughafen backstage. The room covers about 120 square meters and is usable as a cozy space for smaller events with up to 120 persons maximum, according to the official website. At the same time, it can be used as an additional space for events in Hall 6. This is particularly helpful in practice, as larger events can thus have a separate area for reception, side programs, artist support, networking, or aftershow elements. The Backstage is also located directly at Stattstrand, which seamlessly complements the use of the outdoor area. This creates a typical Zughafen dynamic: inside a club or event space, outside an open, urban area with summer and evening character. The room can only be booked in combination with the on-site catering from Foodcraft Event Catering, which further underscores the professional framework. For smaller concerts, showcase evenings, private celebrations, workshop formats, or corporate events with a limited number of guests, the Backstage is particularly interesting. It is not just an auxiliary room but an independent format with its own atmosphere. This is exactly why the term backstage fits so well in the SEO context: those searching for this space usually want not just square meters but a flexible, closer, and more personal event framework. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/backstage/))

Content-wise, it also shows that the Backstage can do more than just be small. The official brochure describes it as part of a vibrant area where parallel events are possible. Additionally, the connection with Stattstrand, described as an outdoor relaxing area in front of Hall 6 and Hall 5, adds to this. This intertwining of indoor and outdoor spaces creates a strong advantage for organizers: a program point can start in the room, later move outside, and eventually return to the club or hall area. This is particularly valuable for summer events, networking evenings, release parties, after-work formats, or hybrid cultural evenings. For visitors, this means a varied spatial experience instead of a single rigid hall. The booking logic is also clearly structured: the Backstage can serve as an independent location but can also be directly combined with Hall 6. Thus, it is both a retreat, an additional space, and an independent small stage. Those looking for a place that combines club character with professional event technology will find a solution here that can do much more than a classic auxiliary room in an event house. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/backstage/))

Access and Parking at Zughafen

In terms of access, Zughafen scores with a very good location for Erfurt. Officially, it is described as an event venue located only about ten minutes on foot from Erfurt Central Station. The footpath runs along the railway line, thus on a comparatively direct and understandable route. Those arriving by train additionally benefit from the fact that Erfurt is connected to major cities like Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden, Frankfurt am Main, and Würzburg via ICE connections. By car, the website recommends access via the A4 as well as the federal roads B4 and B7. From the direction of Dresden, the exit Erfurt-Center/Kranichfeld leads to the destination, and from the direction of Frankfurt, the exit Erfurt-West. After that, one should follow the signs towards the center and train station and drive to the Schmidtstedter junction. From there, one goes via Kalkreiße and Thälmannstraße finally to the street Zum Güterbahnhof. This official description is particularly practical for guests visiting the location for the first time and not wanting to search through Erfurt's side street network. Because although the place is centrally located, it is not immediately intuitive to find, according to the website. This is exactly why the directions are so important. They answer the question of access not theoretically but concretely and in a practical manner. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/anfahrt/))

When it comes to parking, Zughafen relies on clear rules. According to the venue brochure, public parking spaces are available to guests in front of the freight station halls; there are also a few parking spaces directly on the premises. In an additional statement, Zughafen explicitly points out that wild parking in open areas is strictly prohibited and that parking vehicles may receive fines of 50 euros. This is important information for the SEO topics of parking and parking space, as many guests decide shortly before the event whether to come by car or train. The official recommendation is therefore clear: travel by train, bicycle, or on foot whenever possible. This is also relevant for organizers, as it makes logistics easier to plan and prevents the area from being overloaded with private vehicles. Additionally, it should be noted that construction work in front of the premises may affect access starting in summer 2024, although deliveries and pickups will still be possible according to the statement. Therefore, anyone attending an event at Zughafen should read the access and parking information in advance, use the public spaces, and allow enough time for the walk. This makes the visit more relaxed and ensures that the location functions well organizationally despite its central location. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Venue_Broschuere_092024.pdf))

Outdoor Area, Stattstrand, and Foodcraft Catering

An essential part of Zughafen's identity is the outdoor area. The official brochure describes it as a mostly paved area across the entire premises with a total of around 2,500 square meters. This includes Stattstrand, the open spaces in front of the halls, and additional sections in front of Hall 6, Hall 5, Hall 4, and Hall 2. About 1,000 square meters are available in front of Hall 6, around 300 square meters in front of Hall 5, approximately 850 square meters in front of Hall 4, and about 500 square meters in front of Hall 2. Additionally, a passage of 3.50 meters must be kept clear on the street Zum Güterbahnhof. This spatial structure makes Zughafen particularly exciting for open-air formats, receptions, summer parties, market spaces, and hybrid events. Stattstrand is described as an outdoor relaxing area in an urban style and can be equipped with stages, grandstands, and other elements. Additionally, there are restroom containers, water and electricity available upon request, as well as Wi-Fi. For those searching for Stattstrand, open air, events in Erfurt, or summer location, this is a strong indication: Zughafen thrives not only inside the building but also outside. This creates an atmosphere and usability in a way that classic hall locations often do not offer. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Venue_Broschuere_092024.pdf))

Another important component is Foodcraft Event Catering as the exclusive catering partner. The official brochure describes Foodcraft as a partner for all events at Zughafen and emphasizes fresh, innovative gastronomy concepts with regional and seasonal ingredients. Catering options are available for 50 to 1500 persons, ranging from gala evenings to street food to flying buffet and other formats. This makes it clear that Zughafen offers not only spaces but a complete event system. Bars in indoor and outdoor areas, buffet lines, staff, event support, artist booking, bar staff, hostesses, restroom service, and event documentation can all be part of the implementation. For organizers, this means less coordination effort and more planning reliability. For guests, this means that even large formats can be executed smoothly both culinarily and organizationally. Especially for corporate parties, weddings, anniversaries, fairs, summer parties, or brand events, this infrastructure is a real advantage. In conjunction with the event spaces, this creates a place where one can think of an entire process: arriving, starting outside, continuing inside, gastronomically accompanying, and technically securing professionally. This multifaceted nature makes Zughafen particularly attractive as an event location in Erfurt. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Venue_Broschuere_092024.pdf))

History, Network, and Special Location Features

The history of Zughafen is part of its brand. According to the official brochure, an area that started as a 50-square-meter office in 2002 has now become a site with around 10,000 square meters of ground area. The area developed from a project around the artist Clueso and manager Andreas Welskop, from which infrastructure for labels, festival and tour productions, ticket systems, merchandising, studios, and rehearsal rooms gradually emerged. Later, this grew into the current Zughafen Cultural Station, which sees itself as a center of the creative economy encompassing art, culture, event management, services, and crafts. The terms re and upcycling are also important: the house primarily features old or self-built furniture, fences, and interior designs, giving the place its distinctive character. At the same time, the location is not a museum-like remnant but an active production site. The brochure describes it as a vibrant network with several tenants on the premises, where parallel work, planning, playing, and events take place. This is why parallel events are also possible. For search queries related to kulturbahnhof, eventlocation, or zughafen erfurt, this history is relevant because it explains why the place feels different from many other event houses. Here, architecture is not the only focus, but a cultivated culture and working world. ([zughafen.de](https://zughafen.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Venue_Broschuere_092024.pdf))

According to the official brochure, the network includes, among others, Klub Kalif Storch, Kleine Rampe, Kulturbrauerei Heimathafen, and Destille Nocolai&Sohn. The brochure also mentions references from the business, culture, and event scene, including concerts with Meute, Lotte, Kat Frankie, Thüringer Bachwochen, Caravan Orchestra, Stübaphilharmonie, and Alin Coen, as well as markets like Streetfood Festival, Fashion Market, Arts and Crafts Market, and Vino Kilo. This shows that Zughafen is neither just a club nor just a fair hall, but a diverse production and performance venue. At the same time, the location formulates clear values: it sees itself as a place of positive encounters and excludes racist, glorifying violence, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise hate-oriented events. This also shapes the brand. Additionally, the special location between tracks and railway infrastructure can create short noises, technical peculiarities, and a very unique charm. This mix of history, network, openness, and rough industrial environment makes Zughafen interesting for visitors as well as for companies, artists, and performers. Those planning here do not just rent a space but become part of a cultivated cultural place with a clear stance and high versatility. Nice event location. Any kind of event can take place here. The people, that are observing this location and supervising it, are very competent and kind. But I can only give four stars, because it looks a bit old and rusty.... but all in all it is a nice location.
