Create personal favorites with macramé and light
As the days get shorter, the district library Berliner Platz invites you to a cozy creative time. During the macramé workshop with Jessica Schmidt, individual light catchers with loving details and chosen colors will be created. The workshop is aimed at individuals aged 8 to 99 and combines joint creation with a relaxed event atmosphere.
Creative break in the library
On Thursday, November 19, 2026, the Berliner Platz library will transform into an open creative workshop. Under expert guidance, participants will learn the basics of macramé technique and gradually implement their own project. Materials will be provided on-site.
Tie, design and unwind together
The event experience thrives on the calm rhythm of knotting, personal color wishes, and the audience's mood in the small workshop group. With a maximum of ten participants, there is room for questions, individual ideas, and personal support from workshop leader Jessica Schmidt.
For children, adults, and seniors
The flexible targeting makes the workshop an intergenerational offering. Families, teenagers, adults, and elderly people experience a creative activity, where in the end a self-designed decorative object can be taken home. The organization is carried out in cooperation with the Friends of the City and Regional Library Erfurt e.V.
Conclusion: Take home creative moments
The macramé workshop offers two hours of concentrated creative time, collaborative work, and a personal result. Those who wish for a relaxed event with a craft character will experience a festive afternoon at the district library Berliner Platz and create an individual light object for their own home.
